HOLY COMMUNION
We all need healing...
We all need time with the SAVIOR...
YESHUA HAMASHIACH paid the price for our sins.
HE lived this life without sin in order to be able to present HIMSELF as the perfect sacrifice before YEHOVAH GOD the FATHER. The FATHER so loved mankind that HE gave HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON over to death to deliver us from death, from eternal hell. YESHUA/Jesus shed HIS Blood on the Cross for the forgiveness of our sins so that we could have eternal life and be with the HOLY FAMILY in Heaven.
YESHUA taught that in order to draw close to HIM, we must spiritually eat HIS flesh and drink HIS Blood. HE worded it this way for many reasons. The primary reason is so that we can understand what it means to abide in HIM.
“52 The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying, ‘How can this Man give us HIS flesh to eat?’ 53 Then YESHUA said to them, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Adam and drink HIS blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats MY flesh and drinks MY blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For MY flesh is food indeed, and MY blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats MY flesh and drinks MY blood abides in ME, and I in him. 57 As the living FATHER sent ME, and I live because of the FATHER, so he who feeds on ME will live because of ME. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.” – John 6:52-58
YESHUA is to live in us and we in HIM as the Scriptures say,
“I have been crucified with MESSIAH; it is no longer I who live, but MESSIAH lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the SON of GOD, who loved me and gave HIMSELF for me.” – Galatians 2:20
We eat HIS flesh and drink HIS Blood when we truly keep HIS Commandments, obey GOD’S Word by faith. We read in the Torah how YEHOVAH said, “man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of YEHOVAH” (Deuteronomy 8:3). YESHUA HAMASHIACH is the WORD-made-flesh (John 1:14).
At the last supper, YESHUA instituted what we know as Communion. This is where we symbolically eat HIS flesh and drink HIS blood when we partake of the bread and wine.
“26 And as they were eating, YESHUA took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, ‘Take, eat; this is MY body.’ 27 Then HE took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is MY blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in MY FATHER’S kingdom.’” – Matthew 26:26-29
What you need for Communion
1) Bread – traditionally a type of Jewish bread called “challah” is used. Challah bread is made of eggs and leavened with yeast, containing no milk. Its shape is braided. If you don’t have this, you can use a regular piece of bread or even a cracker.
2) Grape juice or wine – either is fine. If you have struggled with alcohol, do not put yourself in a position to sin. Use grape juice or even water.
3) Salt – this is sprinkled over the bread before lifting it up. It is not necessary to have the salt though but it is traditionally used. In ancient times, salt was used whenever a covenant was made between people (Leviticus 2:13). Salt reminds us of how YESHUA said, “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men” (Matthew 5:13).
Note: There will come a time very shortly when you won’t have bread or juice/wine for Communion. So what should you do? You will have to use whatever kosher food you have at hand. YESHUA said we are to remember HIM as often as we eat and drink.
Partaking of Communion
Before you start Communion, make sure you pray and rebuke the devil and his servants away in the NAME of YESHUA HAMASHIACH. Pray you are invisible physically and spiritually from the kingdom of darkness. Ask RUACH HAKODESH (HOLY SPIRIT) to prepare your heart to go before the HEAVENLY FATHER YEHOVAH, before the RUACH HAKODESH, and before YESHUA HAMASHIACH..
As you start Communion, enter into the LORD’S gates with thanksgiving and HIS courts with praise (Psalm 100:4). Sing songs. It is very important that before you partake of the bread and the wine/juice that you examine yourself and truly repent of your sins. YESHUA warns against taking Communion with a sinful heart, with sinful lips. If you do, you will be eating and drinking damnation unto yourself (1 Corinthians 11:27-32).
Speak loving words to the HOLY FAMILY, thanking THEM for Salvation and the suffering YESHUA went through at Calvary so we could have eternal life. Speak to YESHUA about the price HE paid and how HE arose from the grave three days after the crucifixion. YEHOVAH GOD will give you the words to say. Just ask HIM.
Once you are done, lift up the bread and the juice/wine toward Heaven and pray the following blessing:
Blessing for the juice/wine:
Baruch ata YEHOVAH Eloheinu Melekh ha-olam borei peri ha-gefen.
Blessed are YOU, YEHOVAH, KING of the universe who creates the fruit of the vine.
Blessing for the bread:
Baruch ata YEHOVAH Eloheinu Melekh ha-olam ha-motsi lechem min ha-aretz.
Blessed are YOU, YEHOVAH, KING of the universe who brings forth bread from the earth.
Once you are done reciting the blessing, dip the bread into the juice/wine. This symbolizes the body with the blood. Then eat the bread. Next, drink the cup. After partaking of the bread and the wine/juice, sing a song giving thanks to YEHOVAH, YESHUA and RUACH HAKODESH for the Salvation given to you!
This is how the LORD GOD has instructed us to take Communion.
